'little breads'  is a direct translation of the German "Broetchen"  ("oe" 
is a printer friendly way of representing the Umlaut - the 2 little dots 
over vowels that you see in German text) the diminutive form of "Brot" 
and  the best translation is probably "rolls".

Google will find you thousands of hits for German rolls, I haven't made any 
of them so can't help there but Kaiser Rolls (Kaiser Broetchen) are one of 
the rolls you see in the morning in German bakeries.
