Would anyone on this list have a good recipe for the German Christmas bread,
"Stollen" -- that dense, oblong, sugar-covered, nut-filled cake-like bread,
made with tons of butter, that is more addictive than heroin?
Cholesterol-abstainers need not reply.
While there are some local products that masquerade as Stollen, they are pale
imitations, and the deli, here, that imports the real thing, directly from
Germany, charges prices that dwarf the national debt. Can anyone help, just
this once? I promise to diet for all of '96!
