I've had my Zoji since last October, and it made no squeaky noises until
this summer. It squeaks only when kneading in a clockwise direction, and
the degree of squeaking seems to be related to humidity (more humidity =
louder noise). A few times this summer, when we had the air conditioner
on, the Zoji didn't squeak at all. I've noticed absolutely no decline in
the quality of the bread, so I'm not going to take any action at this point
to eliminate the noise.
