Bread-Bakers v098.n008.14

Hi,

I would like to know how to use Rye flakes. Can I use them directly in baking?
Do I need to grind them or soak them? How much can I use compaired to flour
in recipes that call for Rye flour or can't they be interchanged? 

What else can you use rye flakes for besides bread? Thanks so much.
