This is in response to Tom A Brown who was asking about the various
types of yeast and their behavior.

The only thing I know is that Brewer's Yeast, as found in the United
States, is sold as a nutritional supplement, and cannot be used to make
bread rise.  I don't think you can brew anything with it, either.  You
need active yeast for that.
