I think the best way to buy yeast is from  a health food store.  They
sell it by the ounce, as much as you want.  It is best to buy it in
small amounts, that way you tend to get the freshest yeast.  Much
cheaper than buying it by the package.
The fresher the yeast, the better the bread.
