Hi! I am trying to find some information on the origin of the Turks Head baking mold (and pan -- one of which was famously used at a bakery in St Louis). This seems to be a mold rather like the English jelly mold (also called Turks Head) but in the States used to make a sort of kugelhopf cake. I have found lots of places that I can buy an early 19th C pottery mold but nowhere any help with where the term or recipe originated. Anyone?? Many thanks, Nicola McDonald
