Mr Stone asked about keeping Rye Flour.. I don't use much rye flour and I live in a hot part of the world (Mexico). So I keep my rye flour and all my assorted seasonings in the freezer. When I make a loaf of bread I get my teaspoon of this and teaspoon of that. Every 2 years I make a big order from King Arthur and get someone to bring it down to me. This way I have no problem with bugs, or with seldom used spices going bad.
