An online source for mahleb (they spell it mahlab) is Penzey's Spices, at
penzeys.com, in quantities from an ounce to a pound. They have a number of
"specialty" spices, as they call them, as well as more common seasonings
and blends. From personal experience I can recommend them and their
customer service.

There is a wonderful spice called Mahleb, used in the middle east, and made
from the pits of a type of cherry. It is available whole or ground from
middle eastern groceries<<
