risa I'd just throw it in a bowl with 50/50 flour water and when it begins to bubble, which it will, consider it regenerated. Some of the old lacto-bacilli spores are sure to be active, don't worry. If you want a truly hearty strain, someday I will send you a piece of WILMA, captured last october when a hurricane of the same name blew by my island.
