Frank, you don't need to use pots much larger than the finished size of the bread. Smaller ones will work just as well. I use 1.5 quart Corningware pots for small loaves. Corningware make a 2.8 litre oval pot. Just make sure your aim is good when you drop the dough into the pot. Cheers, Dave Glaze
