Foam on Sourdough Starter

Generally foam will only form on really wet starters. Others may have 
a bit of liquid form on top (hooch), but generally won't get any 
foam. Frankly, I wouldn't worry about it. If it's rising and your 
bread tastes good, that's what matters.
