1 1/2 cups flour -- with
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt -- flaky
fennel seeds -- crushedcrushd
Whisk 1 1/2 cups flour with 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 teaspoon each kosher
salt and pepper and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder in a large bowl. Make
a well in the center, then add 1/2 cup water and 2 tablespoons olive
oil and whisk. Turn out onto a floured surface and roll out into a
12-by-16" rectangle, then cut into 1/2" wide breadsticks. Arrange on
2 parchment-lined baking sheets and lightly brush with water.
Sprinkle with flaky salt and crushed fennel seeds. Bake at 400F,
rotating the pans once, until crisp, 12 to 18 minutes.
