Bread-Bakers v099.n022.3

Dear Friends,
    I made a wonderful whole-wheat bread with nuts and raisins in my bread
machine and it came out very good.  However, when I made the same recipe
using dates and nuts, the dates all went to the bottom quarter of the bread.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can get the dates in all parts of the
bread?
