FWIW, when I bake bread in the oven (as opposed to going lazy and leaving 
it in the bread machine) I use my pizza stone. I used to have an unglazed 
quarry tile but it disappeared in a move some years back and I didn't 
bother replacing it once I realized how well my pizza stone worked.
