FYI: I just received the pullman tin from King Arthur, and found the cover
so tight that it was impossible to slide it on and off. In fact, my knuckles
got bloody. I called for help, and they had never had a comment like that
and could only suggest smearing Crisco on the edges--as if I could even open
it up! What I finally did was wrap a large screwdriver blade in a dish
towel, and carefully pry out the curved edge of the cover, evenly, on both
edges. Finally it slid easily.
