Aloha Joni! You can get a great recipe for Malasadas as well as a little
information on why Malasadas are traditionaly made on Fat Tuesday every
year. Malasadas were brought to Hawaii by the Portuguese inmigrants who
came to work in the sugar fields over a hundred years ago, and have now
crossed all cultural and ethnic lines in the islands
