I have tried whole wheat recipes that call for ginger. Personally, I hate the taste of it. I just leave it out, and I don't think I'm missing anything. Instead, sometimes, I add in about 1 tsp of finely grated orange zest per loaf. I find that adds a very bright flavor next to the whole wheat. Roxanne Rieske (Rokzane) rokzane@comcast.net
