I have the Salter 2001 which runs about $30 at the local Linens N 
Things. I had a problem with my first one and the company replaced 
it. The newer model has a removable stainless cover that is easy to 
clean. One suggestion, no matter which scale you get, is to keep a 
set of spare batteries around. They last me about 6 months but do die 
suddenly and it is inconvenient in the middle of a batch of bread.
