I was planning to post this week to find out how to pronounce lame, the tool used for scoring bread loaves. Thanks to Bob, The Tarheel Baker, for his posting last week, I now have the answer. I own several bread baking books, but only Carol Field's book The Italian Baker, tells how to pronounce the names of the breads for which recipes are given. Perhaps we amateur bakers are supposed to be versed in Italian and French. I am not. Jerry Ulett
