I don't know how I was un-subbed, maybe I did it myself before vacation,
but I seem to have missed a thread here.  I have a 250 watt KitchenAid
mixer, and I don't believe it has ever overheated or stopped on me, and I
think I have abused it plenty in all the years I have had it.  I believe I
got it in 1980.  I do know this -- my mixer was made by Hobart, the
manufacturer of commercial mixers and dishwashers, but the KitchenAid of
today is made by Whirlpool.  There could be some difference in quality and
attitude.  The reset button sounds like a good idea, but I don't have one.
Have never needed one.  Of course, some of you may know that I am biased
toward my mixer.
