This is my first time posting (like so many others) and I may have the wrong
approach, but this is for Joyce or Mary Hettich who wanted a good recipe for
Jewish rye bread.
There is a really excellent recipe in "Better Than Store Bought" by Helen
Witty that I use as good rye bread is hard to find in Raleigh, NC and I was
raised on rye bread in NYC.
A second recipe that I am going to try comes from "Secrets of a Jewish
Baker" by George Greenstein who operated a Jewish bakery on Long Island, NY,
for many years and is now retired.
