TO Michael Silverberg I use 1/3 cake for one recipe of challah (makes 2-4) When I double the recipe, I use 1/2 cake (5-8) BTW my mother-in-law, from whom I learn to bake bread, swore that only bread baked w/ cake yeast was edible. It certainly has a better consistency! Good luck Lois Silverman
