Here is the 1 1/2 version of Sheepherder's Bread  from Norman Garrett's 
Great Bread Machine Recipes.

Sheepherder's Bread

3 cups all-purpose flour*
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 Tbsp. butter
1 cup water
1 1/2 tsp yeast

* The recipe calls for all-purpose rather than bread flour.  I use Canadian 
all-purpose which is similar to bread flour.
