A friend of mine has offered to make for me a non-glazed plain fired clay platform to use in my oven as a baking stone. I need to give her the dimensions and am at a loss for the thickness. I've been doing my fougasses on a marble slab for too long (soaks up too much of the oven heat). Any ideas of how thick I should tell her to make the non-glazed plain fired clay platform? Thanks.
