Back in 1997 I purchased two 1-pound packages of yeast at the local
Sam's store. I opened the first package and put the contents into a
glass jar with a good sealing cover. I placed the package and glass
jar into the freezer and used the yeast from the jar until it was used
up. I did the same with the second package. I'm still using this yeast
and it still works great.
